A.) General Terms and Conditions of Travel (GTC):
1. the current travel conditions in their latest version apply exclusively.
2. if for technical or environmental reasons (storm, ferry breakdown,,,,) route changes, ferry schedule changes (departures / arrivals / travel duration) or changes in accommodation are necessary, these will be coordinated and resolved by us together with our customers in the best possible way.
3. catering (food and drink), meals on ferry passages, fuel costs, visas, entry/exit fees, tips, are not included in the price unless otherwise stated in the service text. Possible fare changes will be passed on to the same extent.
4. the age requirement results from our insurance contracts.
5. our customers are responsible for compliance with all passport and driving license regulations, as well as the authenticity of the travel documents.
6. we hand over / lend our vehicles only to customers whose valid driving license meets the legal requirements of Greece.
7. the driver of the motorcycle must at all times comply with the Highway Code. All fines imposed by the traffic police, the municipal police and the national network authorities (Attiki Odos, Egnatia Odos, Ionia Odos, Patras-Athens-Thessaloniki-Evzonoi (PATHE) highway, Olympia Odos, MOREAS highway, etc.) shall be borne exclusively by the renter of the motorcycle.
8. the renter may only use the motorcycle on Naxos, unless the parties agree otherwise. In the event of unauthorized departure from Naxos, the return fees will be charged, as well as a handling fee of €500. The motorcycle is and remains the exclusive property of the company and the rental agreement does not change the ownership of the motorcycle.
9. during the entire rental period, in particular from the delivery of the motorcycle to the renter until its return and collection by the lessor, the motorcycle may not be driven by any person other than the renter or a person designated as driver in the contract. In any case, any additional authorized driver must fully comply with and comply with all current rental conditions, in particular with regard to the age of the driver, driving license conditions, driving behavior of the driver / renter, etc. 10.
10. it is strictly forbidden to make mechanical, technical or optical modifications to the motorcycle. Furthermore, it is forbidden to sublet the motorcycle in whole or in part to third parties.
11. the lessee must handle the motorcycle with care when riding and using it. Furthermore, the mechanically perfect condition must be maintained. In particular, the oil level, tire pressure, etc. must be checked. Uninterrupted operation must be ensured and all measures must be taken accordingly. The Hirer is also obliged to lock the motorcycle with the steering lock every time it is parked. The Hirer must also inform the Rental Firm immediately of any faults or damage caused to the motorcycle during the rental period. Furthermore, the Hirer shall be obliged to compensate the Rental Firm for any damage caused by the late notification (of damage, malfunctions, etc.).
12. the lessee (or any other person) may not carry out any repairs or interventions on the motorcycle without the prior consent of the lessor.
13. the renter may not use the motorcycle:
a. For subletting,
b. For the transportation of heavy objects. Dangerous objects (weapons, medicines, flammable materials, etc.), the transportation of which is expressly prohibited by applicable law. Other objects that could pose a risk to the safety of the motorcycle or its passengers.
c. To take part in races or similar events,
d. Outside of Naxos without prior authorization from the Lessor,
e. If the renter is under the influence of alcohol (reference to blood alcohol according to current Greek law), drugs or strong medication,
f. To violate the provisions of the Highway Code or applicable law,
g. Without the driver and/or passenger wearing a suitable helmet,
h. To drive off-road and in inaccessible terrain.
14. the company reserves the right to demand the early return of the motorcycle at any time before the contractually agreed return date. In particular, if the motorcycle has been used improperly or the current rental conditions have been violated. The Rental Firm may demand compensation if such improper use is proven and damage to the vehicle has occurred. The RENTAL CONDITIONS are subject to change without prior notice.
15. the renter must compensate in full for any damage caused to the motorcycle at any time during the rental period, regardless of the cause. The on-site visit of a technician during the rental period will incur additional costs to be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition, the Renter shall bear the costs for the period in which the motorcycle is at a standstill due to repairs, in the amount of the daily rental fee, as long as the motorcycle has to be repaired due to the Renter's fault.
16. if the renter fails to return the motorcycle at the agreed time and place, the renter shall be liable for the reimbursement of all direct consequential damages incurred by the company.
17. in the following cases, the renter must pay the rental company full compensation, irrespective of the insurance cover. If the insurance company reimburses the Lessor in full for the damage/theft incurred, the Lessor undertakes to reimburse the Lessee for the amount paid by the Lessee. However, only if the damage is fully covered, otherwise the renter is obliged to pay compensation.
The validity of the insurance expires
a. if the vehicle is driven by a driver other than the one named in the rental contract.
b. And/or the motorcycle is used improperly for the transportation of heavy or dirty objects or other dangerous objects (weapons, drugs, flammable materials, etc.). Especially if these are prohibited by Greek law.
c. And/or the motorcycle is used outside of Naxos without prior authorization from the company.
d. And/or the motorcycle is used/driven in violation of the Greek Highway Code and applicable laws,
e. And/or the rider/passenger is not wearing a suitable helmet
f. And/or the renter is driving with an alcohol level above the legal limit,
g. And/or the renter is driving under the influence of prohibited substances (e.g. drugs, etc.) or strong medications that impair the driver.
h. And/or the renter has exceeded the permitted speed limits through gross negligence.
In these cases, any damage likely to be caused to the vehicle shall be borne by the renter.
18. damage to the motorcycle caused by riding outside of paved roads shall be borne by the renter, unless there is express permission to ride on unpaved roads. Damage to the motorcycle caused by riding on the race track is not covered by the insurance and shall be borne in full by the renter. Riding on the race track is expressly prohibited.
B.) Special travel conditions
Supplementary travel conditions of the organizer for guided motorcycle tours:
The "Organizer" rents motorcycles and organizes guided motorcycle tours.
1. the customer hereby acknowledges and confirms with his signature that he has read and understood these additional travel conditions for guided motorcycle tours and that he accepts them in full.
2. the prerequisite for participation in a guided motorcycle tour is the existence of a valid authorization to drive and steer a motorcycle, i.e. a driving license in the appropriate class, which must be presented by the customer before booking.
3. for tours with the customer's own motorcycle, it must be in an impeccable, well-maintained condition so that it can cope with the planned mileage without any necessary services (oil check, sufficient tire tread, general condition, ...)
4. by signing the present terms and conditions of travel, the customer confirms that, according to his own assessment, he has the ability, the riding routine as well as the physical condition to steer and operate the motorcycle chosen by him on the motorcycle tour chosen by him in accordance with the expected degree of difficulty of the road and terrain. Each customer is obliged to adapt his speed to his own ability. If the group is significantly hindered by the lack of ability of an individual, the tour leader is entitled to exclude the customer from the guided tour. In the event of exclusion, the customer shall be refunded the aliquot price for the non-consumed time by the "organizer".
5. the tours offered were created by the organizer according to different levels of difficulty and different areas, whereby an average driving ability, as well as the ability to operate the vehicle chosen by the customer himself, is a prerequisite. The daily driving time will be approx. 3-5 hours on average (individually agreed with the customer). The customer must ensure that he is able to cope with such a journey due to appropriate training, previous knowledge and fitness.
6. the customer is prohibited from engaging in racing behavior during the guided tour and from violating the provisions of the applicable road traffic regulations or similar local laws. In the event of a violation or further violation despite a warning from the tour guide, the customer may be immediately excluded from the guided tour. This is absolutely necessary to avoid danger to other tour members who are behaving properly. In the event of exclusion, the customer must be refunded the aliquot price for the non-consumed time by the "organizer".
7. any penalties for violation of legal regulations of any kind whatsoever shall be borne by the customer and shall be dealt with by the respective authorities on their own.
8. the organizer is not liable for accidents of the customer of any kind. It is the customer's responsibility to maintain appropriate distances and braking distances, etc. The organizer shall not be liable in any way for accidents caused by driving errors of any kind, in particular overestimation of the customer's own driving ability, etc., and the customer waives any claims arising from such damage in advance.
9. every customer is free to agree with the tour guide, without the right to a refund of part of the price, that he/she may leave the tour for a certain period of time and drive freely, i.e. choose his/her own driving speed, driving behavior, etc., but this is only permitted outside the tour. In this case, however, no service or supervision is guaranteed and cannot be assumed by the organizer.
10. the organizer is entitled to make changes to the pre-booked tour due to unforeseeable events, such as road blocks, bad weather, ferry schedule changes, etc., or if this is not possible, he shall not be liable in this respect, unless he was aware of or could have foreseen the relevant obstacles or impediments in advance.
11. all tours organized by the organizer take place at the customer's own risk, i.e. the customer is responsible for carrying out all trips and driving movements of any kind independently, which cannot be influenced by the organizer.
12. the tours are deliberately not racing events or rides aimed at speed. The intention is a safe, enjoyable ride.
13 I hereby grant permission for film and photo rights for advertising purposes.
C.) Specific terms and conditions relating to the bikes and accessories:
1.) Any lost or stolen rented property (helmets, bikes, accessories, etc.) shall be replaced by the renter in the amount of the current list price/purchase price and charged accordingly at the time of return.
2) The vehicle must be returned with the same amount of fuel in the tank as when it was picked up. If this is disregarded, the missing amount of fuel will be charged at €3 per liter.
3) Any damage to the vehicle will be documented before handover. Should further damage occur, this must be reimbursed by the renter. Furthermore, the vehicles are handed over in a technically perfect condition and must be returned in the same perfect condition. Any damage that goes beyond normal use will be charged to the renter at the time of return.
D.) Driver's license requirements:
Greek law applies to the legal driving license requirements.
You need for one of our GTS 300 Vespa:
Minimum age: at least 22 years
the driver must have held a valid motorcycle license (A2 or A) for at least two (2) years and be at least 22 years old
Driving license classes:
European driving license: A2 or A (without the restriction codes 79.03, 79(3), 79.04, 79(4)
International driving license: A2 or A (without the restriction codes 79.03, 79(3), 79.04, 79(4))
For one of our KTM 790 Adventure:
Minimum age: 24 years
the rider must have held a valid motorcycle license (A) for at least two (2) years and be at least 24 years old
License category: A (without the restriction codes 79.03, 79(3), 79.04, 79(4))
Driving license category:
European driving license: A (without the restriction codes 79.03, 79(3), 79.04, 79(4))
International driving license: A (without the restriction codes 79.03, 79(3), 79.04, 79(4))
You do not need an International Driving Permit (IDP) if your driver's license was issued in one of the following countries:
Australia, Belarus, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Ghana, Indonesia, Iran (Islamic Republic of), Israel, Japan, Morocco, Republic of Albania, Republic of Serbia, South Africa, South Korea, Switzerland, Turkey, UK (United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland), Ukraine, United States of America, Venezuela (Bolivarian Republic of)
As well as countries of the European Union
If you have a driver's license from another country, you will need an international driver's license.
The international driving license is based on the driving license of your country to be valid, both driving licenses must be carried together when driving our rental vehicle.

E.) Cancellation
1.) Motorcycle rental
Cancellation is free up to 14 days before pickup.
From 14 days before collection, costs up to 50% of the total amount will be incurred.
If not shown up at the pick up date, no costs will be refunded. If you book with an incorrect/non-existent driver's license, no refunds will be made.
2.) Tour booking
All costs incurred up to the time of cancellation will not be refunded. (Tickets, accommodation, etc.)
The conditions already mentioned apply to motorcycle rentals during the booked tour.
